LABOR SUPPORT SPECIALIST CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

Research data indicates that providing continuous labor support for mothers is vital to ensue healthy positive birth outcomes.  The EPI- Labor Support Specialist Certificate Program brings a distinctive difference as a provider of training for professional doulas.  Our multifaceted training program includes evidenced based information, latest labor support skills, professional guidelines, and advocacy training.  We set a new standard for excellence by respectfully working with the mother, her partner and the birthing team.  Our goal is to empower the mother to make choices for her ideal birth experience while providing practical educational, physical and emotional support during the labor process.

This is a 3 day training seminar. *This training was pre-seminar learning assignments that must be completed BEFORE the in person training. These include: 1. Observing a Childbirth Education Course (minimum 6 hours) 2. Observing a Breastfeeding Course (minimum 2 hours). 3. Interviewing an expectant mother and a new mother. Documentation must be provided for all pre-seminar assignments.

 This is a perfect course for anyone desiring to serve mothers, LD nurses, and those desiring professional credentialing.
